“When I looked at covers of magazines once i young, I didn’t ever see a Black lady rocking an Afro, so I became obsessed with the hair I noticed on Tv and in music videos and magazines. I questioned why I didn’t have that. But after 15 years of treating my hair with aggressive chemicals, it lost its life, so I took a break from relaxers and began wearing wigs,” Diniz expressed to Refinery 29 in an interview “that it felt amazing.”
Wigs soon caught the eye of the model and since her mother was a world flight attendant, she would deliver again all kinds of hair wigs for Diniz to attempt on.
