If winter really isn’t your thing, you may want to look away. Because Salvatore Ferragamo’s new campaign for its spring/summer 2017 collection is all lush garden paradises and soft Mediterranean breezes.
Literally, the Peter Lindbergh shot photos and accompanying short film—featuring models Lily Aldridge, Andres Velencoso, and McKenna Hellam—captures the Mediterranean beauty of Taormina, Sicily, a small hilltop town on the east coast of the island.
Figuratively, the ready-to-wear collection—suits, button-down shirts, tailored trousers, and knitwear in dusty hues of sand and olive, navy and cerulean blues, and gray—evokes what Ferragamo calls the “splendor of life.” It all adds up to a soft, at times sweetly melancholy, presentation of life in a Mediterranean resort town. And it all feels extremely, perfectly Italian.
Basically, if you’re seeking a look of casual Continental elegance this Spring, this is the collection for you. All you’ll need to cap it off is a vintage Alfa Romeo Spider and a long stretch of empty days that you can fill with romance and maybe an Aperol spritz or two.
